Do I need a Cochrane agent to buy or sell in Cochrane?
Any agent licensed with the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) can help you buy or sell here. A local agent, though, knows the communities, the builders and recent sales, which helps with pricing, negotiating and spotting issues early.
How much does it cost to hire a real estate agent in Alberta?
Commission isn't set by law in Alberta. It's negotiable and written into your agreement with the brokerage. On many purchases, the buyer's brokerage is paid out of the seller's side of the deal, and your agreement explains what happens if it isn't. We'll go over all of it with you before you sign anything.
How do I choose the right agent?
Check that they're licensed by searching RECA's public licensee lookup at reca.ca, read reviews from local clients, and ask how often they work in your area and how they'll keep in touch. Most of all, pick someone you trust to tell you the truth about a house or a price.
What's included in a free home evaluation?
We look at your home's size, condition and features, then compare it with recent sales and active listings nearby to suggest a realistic price range. There's no cost or obligation. It isn't a formal appraisal, but it's a solid starting point for planning a sale.
Do you work outside Cochrane?
Yes. Cochrane is our main focus, and we also work regularly in northwest Calgary and Bearspaw. If you're buying in one area and selling in another, we can handle both sides of your move.
How do we get started?
Call or email either of us. We'll start with a no-pressure conversation about your plans and timing, and you can decide from there.
