Tuscany's east side backs onto 12 Mile Coulee, a City of Calgary natural environment park of about 150 hectares. The City describes the coulee as about 290 metres wide and 50 metres deep at its south end, with a creek running down to the Bow River and a mix of grassland, shrubs, white spruce, balsam poplar and aspen. It's a real piece of the foothills inside city limits.
The Tuscany Club on Tuscany Way is the residents' association facility for Tuscany and Tuscarora members. It offers a gymnasium, fitness classes, children's programs and camps, a splash park, playground, skate park, tennis and pickleball courts, and outdoor skating in winter. Access requires a paid residents' association membership.
The Tuscany Community Association runs youth soccer, an adult slo-pitch league, a community garden and seasonal events.
